Seasons of Life

As I get older, I really enjoy spring and summer more.  Maybe because the flowers and the lake remind me of growing up.  It really doesn’t seem that long ago I was the age my children are now.  In reality it was nearly 30 years ago I was the age my oldest is now.  Wow!  How did that happen?  In my mind, I’m still young and can  conquer the world, then my body gives it a painful reminder that I am 50… not 25.  They say you’re only as old as you think… until you try to do something that used to be easy and your body is no longer physically capable (or it is capable, but you pay for it tomorrow!)  Que the bottle of ibuprofen.  At any rate, I love this time of year!  I love the smell of fresh cut grass, rain and flowers!  I love the beautiful colors that spring and summer bring!  I love to be outdoors!  Who else just feels more alive this time of year?  Spring always brings that feeling of renewed energy and motivation!  Let’s see what we can conquer today!

Have a blessed and beautiful day!

I am a child of God, a farmer's wife and mama to 4! We raise emu's on my family farm in North Carolina. I love to talk about my faith, our farm, getting away from our farm occasionally, share recipes, make crafts and watch all of my kids sports! But what I truly love is to encourage others around me to reach their dreams and live a joyful, fulfilled life in Christ and to motivate them to want to spread that same love and encouragement to others!
